My name is Josie Sinnamon, and I am passionate about all aspects of family and parenting. I hold a Master of Social Work, a Graduate Diploma in Child, Youth, and Family Therapy, and a Bachelor of Health Science (Hons) in Public Health. My specialty lies in child development, behaviour, parenting, and post-separation parenting/child support.
I work with infants, children, adults, and families, using an attachment-based, trauma-informed, and neuro-affirming approach. I believe the parent-child relationship is the most crucial foundation for good mental health throughout life.
I develop and facilitate therapeutic parenting programs for common issues such as behaviour challenges, neurodevelopmental concerns (e.g., fussy eating, PDA, physical and verbal aggression), attunement, emotional coaching, emotional regulation, and post-separation parent-child relationship support.
I also support children and adults within the NDIS, helping them achieve their life goals and independence. This includes working with individuals with neurodevelopmental and psychosocial diagnoses.
I utilize various modalities, including:
I am available for weekly consultations.
Group programs are run throughout the year.
